Maurits Cornelius Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898–1972) was a Dutch graphic artist known for his mathematically inspired works featuring impossible architectures, tessellations, and optical illusions. His intricate prints, such as Relativity and Ascending and Descending, challenge perception by blending art with geometry and perspective. Escher’s work continues to fascinate mathematicians, artists, and philosophers, bridging the gap between logic and imagination.
