Giorgio Morandi
Giorgio Morandi (1890–1964) was an Italian painter and printmaker known for his quiet, contemplative still lifes featuring bottles, vases, and everyday objects. His work focused on subtle variations of light, shadow, and muted color, creating a sense of harmony and timelessness. Influenced by both Renaissance masters and modern movements, Morandi developed a unique visual language that emphasized simplicity and introspection. His paintings, often described as meditative, continue to be celebrated for their poetic restraint and mastery of composition.
